Inspiring Future Technicians – Price Family Dealerships and UTI Co-Host Student Day at Mercedes-Benz of Fairfield

A career in the automotive industry starts with knowledge, hands-on experience, and the right connections. Recently, nearly 100 students and their families got an exclusive look at what it takes to become a top-tier technician during a Student & Family Day hosted by Mercedes-Benz of Fairfield in partnership with Universal Technical Institute (UTI).

From the Classroom to the Service Bay

Stepping into a live dealership environment gave students the chance to see the daily responsibilities of an automotive technician – from routine maintenance tasks to major repairs like transmission replacements. Guided by our Master Technicians, attendees got up close with tools, diagnostics, and repair techniques, providing a real-world glimpse into the industry.

The excitement continued as Colin Wells (pictured below on the right), our Lamborghini, McLaren, Bentley, and Aston Martin Master Technician, shared insights from his career journey that started by attending UTI. His experience working on some of the world’s most prestigious vehicles left students inspired and eager to learn more.
